Case[]
Details: Fifty-two-year-old David Estright and his wife, Pam, had a five-year-old son named Davey. David had been married and divorced ten times and had two federal fraud convictions. Pam also had several children from a previous marriage. David was allegedly abusive toward her. When he tried to physically abuse one of her daughters, she left him and took them with her. When he found them later, she sent her daughters to live with relatives.
Finally, Pam and David filed for divorce. They were still in divorce proceedings when David picked up Davey for a visit one day in July 1994. He never returned and they have not been seen since.
Extra Notes: The case first aired in the May 5, 1995 episode.
Results: Captured. On May 3, 1995, two days before the case was supposed to air, David was arrested in St. Matthews, Kentucky. Information given to the FBI led to his arrest. Davey was found safe and he was reunited with Pam the next day. Investigators learned that he had been dressed like a girl to conceal his identity. David pleaded guilty to custodial interference and was sentenced to one year in prison.
