Details: Desiree was last seen outside her home on March 25, 1983. At the time of her disappearance, her mother had custody of her and her older sister; their parents had been divorced for about two years. Her father saw them regularly and he last saw Desiree about two weeks before her disappearance. He mother stated that she dropped them off at the lane leading to their house at 1:00pm and then drove away in her pickup truck. Her older sister walked to the house and Desiree followed the truck, disappearing a short time afterward, never to be seen again. As of 2020, this case remains unsolved and she is presumed to have been abducted by a non-relative.
Extra Notes: This case was first released on October 19, 2020 as a part of the second volume of the Netflix reboot of Unsolved Mysteries. It's featured at the end of "Stolen Kids" as a part of a long term missing children roll call along with Andre Bryant, Cherie Barnes, Amber Crum, Corey Edkin, Ke'Shaun Vanderhorst, Aaron Anderson, and Christopher Abeyta.
