Case[]
Details: Two-year-old Elizabeth Gill was last seen playing in her front yard at 4pm on June 13, 1965. She vanished and has not been seen since. Initially, investigators suspected that she had wandered away and fallen into the Mississippi River a few blocks away. However, this theory was discounted because she would have had to cross streets and railroad tracks and then go down a bluff to reach the water's edge. Investigators and her family now suspect foul play in her disappearance.
Suspects: In 1970, convicted murderer Phillip Odell Clark told police that he had accidentally ran over Elizabeth with her car and killed her. He claimed that he panicked and buried her body. However, he gave several conflicting stories on the location of her remains. It was later concluded that his confession was false.
Extra Notes: This case was never featured on the show. However, it has connections to that of The Family of Monica Libao. Some suspect that she, who may have been kidnapped as a child, is actually Elizabeth.
Results: Unsolved. DNA tests confirmed that Monica and Elizabeth are not the same person. Investigators now suspect that a group of drifters staying at a nearby motel may have taken her. Some of these drifters had previously tried to entice her and get her in their vehicle. However, the theory has not been confirmed.
