Case[]
Details: Elizabeth Salgado had moved from her native Mexico to Provo, Utah to study and improved her English. She was very close with her family and made it a point of calling them as often as possible. Elizabeth's mother would later be alarmed when she was unable to contact her daughter. Investigators created a timeline and learned that Elizabeth was last seen on April 16, leaving her school's campus at approximately 1 PM, presumably to go to her apartment.
On April 30, some human remains were found, but her family was relieved when dental proved that there were not Elizabeth's. Tragically, in May 2018, another set of human remains were located at the Hobble Creek Canyon that were identified as Elizabeth's. Her death is being treated as a homicide.
