Details: On January 21, 1992, thirty-three-year-old Gail Knowlton left her Salem, Massachusetts apartment to go to work at the Sears Credit Bureau. She didn't arrive at work and was never seen again. She left behind her paraplegic husband Edward and a sixteen-month-old son. Years later, psychic witch Laurie Cabot was asked to help assist police in their investigation. She was only given Gail's name, age, and location at the time of her disappearance.
She envisioned that Gail ran into an acquaintance outside of her door that morning, who offered her a ride. According to Laurie, she was happy to go with him. As they drove, the man "teased" her with a knife that he brought along with him. However, she did not like him doing this. The man then took her to Dolly Comp road in Mt. Washington, New Hampshire, where he ordered Gail out of the car. He then pushed her off a steep cliff and drove away.
It is not known whether or not this scenario actually happened since it is based solely on Laurie's psychic vision. To date, Gail has not been found.
Suspects: Neighbors reported hearing arguments and other suspicious activities around Gail's apartment shortly before she vanished. Gail was also on probation for incidents involving her children from a previous marriage. However, it is not known if this is related to her disappearance.
Laurie believes that Gail's killer drove a dark colored pickup truck and may have been involved in drugs. He is believed to be an acquaintance of Gail's. She does not believe that the killer is Gail's husband.
Extra Notes: The case was featured as a part of the October 25, 1996 episode which focused on Laurie Cabot's psychic abilities.
Strangely, Gail's case is not on any missing person website, so there is a possibility that she may have since been found.
Results: Unsolved. Sadly, Gail's husband Edward passed away in 2007.
