Case

Details: Heather Kullorn was a student at Blow Middle School in St. Louis, Missouri. In July 1999, she was staying with Dana Madden and Christopher Herbert, friends of her parents, and babysitting their two-month-old infant in July 1999. When the neighbors heard the baby screaming uncontrollably and discovered Heather missing, they called the police. A witness reported seeing an unidentified man carrying a child around Heather's age wrapped in a blanket out of the apartment at approximately 2:00 a.m. that morning. Dana madden later discovered that a white comforter with a floral design was missing from the apartment along with Heather. A small amount of blood was found inside the residence was linked the blood to Heather. She has never been heard from again.
The police believe Heather was attacked and abducted by someone she knew. They shifted the investigation around a methamphetamine ring in Missouri after evidence of a methamphetamine manufacturing lab was found in the Madden/Herbert apartment. They believe that Heather may have witnessed illegal drug activity in the apartment's garage and was abducted and presumably murdered as a result. In March 2002, human remains were found nearby and turned out to not be Heather. Meanwhile, the police have had a suspect they have not publicly identified.
Heather's mother, Christine Kullorn, was later arrested after a verbal confrontation with Madden in April 2000, nine months after her daughter vanished. She believes that Madden and Herbert know more about her daughter's disappearance than they are telling. Herbert has given conflicting stories about his whereabouts at the time Heather disappeared while Madden was known to be at work when she vanished. Christine has been actively pursuing leads in her daughter's disappearance and has never been considered a suspect.
