Details: Jean-Louis Bonnard was born March 1, 1824 at Saint-Christôt-en-Jarret, Diocese of Lyon. Bonnard was a French Roman Catholic missionary to Vietnam. He was beheaded May 1, 1852 and canonized in 1988.
According to legend, in 1842, he may have broke into a house and stole everything there and blew up the house, but he was never arrested. No facts are present to determine the veracity of these claims.
