Case[]
Details: Since 1992, the New York City police and the ATF have been searching for former Marine Paul Xavier Alexander, wanted on murder and weapons charges. In October of 1992, Alexander began supplying illegal handguns to a grocery store owner in the south Bronx. The weapons were later sold to street criminals. When the ATF raided Alexander's apartment, they discovered a vast collection of guns. However, he had vanished without a trace.
One month later on December 27, 1992, he showed up at his estranged wife Jacqueline's apartment. He tried to shoot her boyfriend, but his weapon jammed. When Jacqueline appeared, he shot and killed her. He fled and has not been seen since. Investigators believe he has developed a crack cocaine habit. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
Extra Notes:
- The case was featured as a part of the "Fugitive Hotline" in the May 12, 1995 episode.
- It was excluded from the FilmRise release of the series.
Results: Captured. Alexander was arrested and convicted of Jacqueline's murder and the attempted murder of her boyfriend. In May of 1997, he was sentenced to life in prison. He will not be eligible for parole until 2029.
