Details: After a divorce, thirty-year-old single mother, Krystal Jay Mitchell, began a relationship with thirty-two-year-old Raymond "RJ" McLeod, a bodybuilder and former Marine recruiter. Krystal was unaware beneath his muscular physique and charisma, McLeod was a man with a short temper and domestic violence in his past. McLeod's first wife had filed charges of Domestic Violence against him and he was out on a $50,000 bond after being accused of strangling his third wife. McLeod offered Krystal to go to San Diego, with Krystal accepted.
On June 10, 2016, Krystal's body was in the home she and McLeod was staying at, with her boyfriend nowhere to be found. Krystal had been beaten and strangled to death. McLeod used Krystal's car to leave the area before exchanging it for a rental car. After three days after the murder, McLeod's rented car was found abandoned in Mazatlán, Mexico. He has been spotted in Belize and Guatemala and was last seen using a Canadian passport. The US Marshals placed McLeod on their 15 Most Wanted list and is believed to be still in Central America. Krystal's mother, Josephine Wentzel, has vowed to have her daughter's killer brought to justice, using her skills as a former detective to track McLeod.
McLeod is a Caucasian male with brown hair and hazel eyes. He is 5'11" and is 215-245 lbs. and has numerous tattoos covering his arms and collarbone area. He was born on October 3, 1983 and is now in his late thirties. McLeod is an avid drinker and may be using steroids and cocaine. He is to be considered armed and dangerous.
