Details: Eighty-eight-year-old Russell and his wife, Eighty-seven-year-old Shirley had been married for decades, had three sons and a daughter together, and living their retirement near Lake Oconee in Putnam County, Georgia. In May 2014, a friend of the elderly couple went to check up on them as no one had seen them in the past few days. The friend ended up discovering Russell's headless corpse in the garage and called the police. Shirley was not located in the residence and was assumed to be abducted. Her body was later recovered from the lake. Shirley was determined to have died from blunt force trauma and her body was tied to sixty pounds of concrete.
