Details: In 1979, Sami Eisbart devised a scheme to defraud investors through the sale of "deferred delivery coal contracts". He planned to convince investors that coal was a commodity that could be bought and sold just like gold or jewelry - but that is actually false and the contract is worthless. Authorities became suspicious and Eisbart and two accomplices were arrested. In 1981, the three men were indicted on several fraud charges and were all found guilty. However, Eisbart fled before sentencing in August, 1985 and has not been seen since.

Results: Captured. Eisbart was eventually apprehended and sentenced to fifteen years in prison.
