Details: Sebastian Rogers is a fifteen-year-old high school student with autism. He lived with in the Shackle Island community near Hendersonville, Tennessee, not far from Beech High School with his father, Seth Rogers, and his step-mother, and was given to taking walks around the house and neighborhood at night. On February 26, 2024, Seth woke up to find Sebastian missing, and after looking extensively for him, he called the police. Search parties and helicopter searches have covered the area looking for him, but he has yet to be found. Local security footage of the neighborhood the night he vanished showed other strange lights in the proximity of the house on February 26, but Sebastian still remains missing. The TBI, the FBI, and the Sumner County sheriff all say it remains active.
On May 7, 2024, a photo surfaced that appeared to show Sebastian at a visitor center in North Carolina, but the look-a-like teen was identified and confirmed not to be Sebastian. Glasses and a pair of pants were found in a local creek, but they were confirmed to not belong to Sebastian.
Since then, the police are no closer to solving the mystery of what happened to Sebastian. Eric Craddock, chief deputy with the Sumner County Sheriff's office, has been heading up the investigation. He has said: "We are doing everything we can do every time a tip comes down we follow up,"
Unfortunately, the number of reported tips or potential sightings has decreased in recent months. There has been no more random search efforts by authorities, but based on the investigation and search efforts to date, they do have a body of work to review.
Craddock adds: "In the absence of information what we continue to do is go back over everything we've done once and give it a new set of eyes."
