Details: An unknown man has robbed at least thirteen southern California banks since August 1993, all within an hour’s drive of each other. He always hands the teller a note (sometimes hidden in a file folder), demanding money from the cash drawer. No weapon has been seen during the robberies. His most recent heist was at the Ventura branch of Great Western Bank at 12:50pm on January 11, 1994.
The robber is in his late thirties or early forties (in 1994), is about 6’0” tall, and weighs 180 to 195 pounds. He has light, possibly salt-and-pepper colored hair, a mustache, and a one-week-old beard. During the last robbery, he was wearing a long-sleeve turquoise jersey, a T-shirt with a white stripe, and jeans. He sometimes wears sunglasses and a hat. He has changed his appearance slightly between the robberies. He is believed to be a resident of Ventura County or northern Los Angeles County. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

- Some sources say his first robbery occurred on July 9, 1993.
